We’ve conducted an interesting experiment about the behaviour of some substance in contact with a flame and we have also observed the emission of light of two different light bulbs.

That experiment has been very important to see and understand how the materials react if exposed to a source of energy.

In fact, every material, when exposed to a source of energy (termal as from a flame, or electric for example) receives energy which is then emitted; in some cases this energy is emitted as a colourful light, which varies from element to element.

So the purposes of that experiment are two:

1. understand what happens inside the atoms during the exposure  to a source of energy the flame and the electricity, and so introduce the delicate subject of the quantum physics

2. by using the different behaviour of the atoms during flame test, to analyse and classify some specific material.
